Penelope Jennings

Hi! My name is Penelope and I am a senior double majoring in journalism and history. I'm also covering high school sports for the Washington Post. This summer I interned with The Echoes-Sentinel of New Jersey Hills Media in northern NJ where I covered local news in the towns of Long Hill, Warren and Watchung. During the summer of 2024, I interned with CNN Sports where I worked on Olympics coverage and wrote for the TV programs CNN World Sport and TNT Sports Tonight. I am sports managing editor at The Eagle, American University's student-run newspaper, where I've written more than 85 articles and edited more than 200 stories. When I'm not writing, I love to crochet and spend time with my cats.
